Read the step by step procedure for e-verification of Income Tax Return using SBI Netbanking in FY 2021-22 (A.Y 2020-21)
Income Tax Return verification is required by the IT department; for the taxpayers to verify the legitimacy of their e-filing. Any taxpayer who files the return without a digital signature is required to verify his ITR. There are many different ways to File and ITR using netbanking.. Here, we are providing you with a beginners guide of ITR verification using SBI Net Banking.
Step 1: income Go to the income tax efiling website, Click on the login
Step 2: Once you have logged in, navigate to the “e file”, click on the “Income Tax Return” and select “e-Verify Return” displayed on the navigation menu.
Step 3: From the options, select Option 2. A box will appear & here select “EVC - Through Net Banking”.
Step 4: Once you select the Net Banking option, the steps for e verification using net banking will be shown. Go through them & after that click on the “Continue” button.
You will be redirected to the screen where all the banks approved by Income Tax Department for e verification of ITR through Net Banking will be shown. Click on the “State Bank of India”.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the SBI login page, enter your Username & Password. After this click on the Login button.
Step 6: On the dashboard, select “e-Tax” and from the drop-down menu click on “Direct Taxes”. Then on the next page, from the left-hand side select “Login to e-Filing/ e-Verify”.
Step 7: Here at the login page, click on the “Submit” button. In 5-10 seconds, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number with the bank. Enter this OTP & click on the “Confirm” button.
Step 8: Now you are redirected and logged into your account at the Income Tax efiling website. Here, under the tab “My Account” select option “e-Verify Return”.
Step 9: On successful login, you will be redirected to the e-filing dashboard on the e-filing website . Select the respective ITR form/Services and click e-verify. Your ITR/Form/ Service will be e-verified successfully.
Once you click the file now button. Congratulations! Your ITR is now successfully verified & the message will be shown as on screen.
Ans. After filing your ITR, there are two ways to check its status. Under the first method, on the homepage of the e-filing website, you'll find the option to check the ITR Status. After clicking on it, you'll be required to fill out PAN number, ITR acknowledgement number and the captcha code. Click on submit and the status of your ITR will be displayed on the screen. Under the second method, Login to the e-filing website , then 'View Returns / Forms'. select income tax returns and assessment year from the dropdown menu and boom. On submitting, the status will be displayed on the screen showing if the ITR is only verified or if it has been processed.
Ans. Go to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Under the 'Quick Links' tab, click on ITR Status. Provide your PAN details and acknowledgement no. on the page which has appeared on the screen .After that you will be able to view the status.
Ans. The income tax return status can be checked in two ways. First, on the homepage of the e-filing website, on the extreme left under the services tab, you'll find the option to check the ITR Status. After clicking on 'ITR Status', you have to fill out your PAN number, ITR acknowledgement number and the captcha code and submit, the status will be displayed on your screen. In the second method, Login to the e-filing website and on the dashboard you'll see an option 'View Returns / Forms'. Select 'View Returns / Forms' option, select income tax returns and assessment year from the dropdown menu and submit. Ans. To check whether ITR has been processed or not after ITR verification, all you have to do is login to your income tax portal, choose View returns and Forms and then select relevant A.Y. and you can view the status of your ITR
Ans. SBI provides a facility for TDS enquiry to generate the details of tax deducted from your deposit account during the previous financial year or projected tax for the current financial year.
Ans. ITR-V is the acronym for ‘Income Tax Return–Verification’ Form. It is a single page document that is received when an ITR is filed online without using a digital signature. ITR-V is provided by the Income Tax Department to verify the authenticity of income tax returns and is sent by email to the taxpayer. There is a facility to download your ITR V again. The ITR V should be signed with a blue pen and should be submitted to the CPC.
