What is the Password for Opening Income Tax Notice?

Updated on: 04 Mar, 2024 10:44 AM

Once you are done filing your ITR, the income tax department processes the return submitted by you and sends you an intimation under section 143(1) of the Income Tax Act, which is to inform you that your return has been processed and whether you owe any tax or are supposed to get a refund. If the income tax department finds any discrepancy in the ITR or suspects any fraud/misreporting of income, it may issue a notice. There are various types of notices that can be issued for different purposes.
