You can easily get your aadhaar card linked with your SBI bank account by visiting any nearest branch at your convenience.
Steps to follow while visiting an SBI branch:

  • After reaching the nearest branch, ask for the ‘letter of request’ form
  • Fill out the form and submit it along with a copy of your Aadhaar card
  • After verification, Aadhaar will be linked to the bank account, and the user will be notified via a text message on the registered mobile number.

Linking via SBI YONO/SBI YONO Lite app:

  • Step 1: Download the SBI YONO/SBI YONO Lite app if you have not done already
  • Step 2: Log in your SBI YONO mobile app
  • Step 3: Click on “Service Request” under Quick Links
  • Step 4: Next, click on “Manage Profile
  • Step 5: Select the “Aadhaar Linking” option
  • Step 6: Enter the necessary details including your 12-digit Aadhaar number
  • Step 7: You will get a message stating that your request has been processed and your Aadhaar number is successfully linked to your bank records.

Linking via SBI Internet banking

  • Log into www.onlinesbi.com
  • Navigate to "Update aadhaar with Bank account" under "My Accounts", appearing on the left panel of the screen.
  • On the next page, select the Account number, input the Aadhaar number, and click Submit.
  • The last 2 digits of the registered mobile number (non-editable) will be displayed to you.
  • The status of mapping will be notified to you on your registered mobile number.

Follow the steps mentioned below to link your Aadhaar with your SBI Bank account through Internet banking -

  • Step 1: Visit SBI’s official website www.onlinesbi.com
  • Step 2: Log in to your Internet banking account
  • Step 3: Click on the “e-Services” section
  • Step 4: Select the “Update Aadhaar with Bank Accounts (CIF)” option
  • Step 5: Enter your profile password and click on Submit button
  • Step 6: Now select your CIF number from the drop-down menu
  • Step 7: Enter your Aadhaar number twice and click on the Submit button
  • Step 8: Your Aadhaar card will be linked to your SBI bank account. You will receive a confirmation once it is linked successfully.

Linking via SBI ATMs

  • Visit the nearest SBI ATM booth and swipe your card
  • Post swiping, enter your PIN for authentication
  • From the menu section, select ‘Service registrations’; under that, select ‘aadhaar registrations.’
  • Afterward, select ‘account type’ and put in your Aadhaar number twice for registration.
  • Post verification, a message will be sent out to the registered mobile number.

Linking Aadhaar through SMS

SBI customers (account holders) can link their Aadhaar with the bank through SMS. To link their Aadhaar, they first need to register their mobile number with the SBI bank. In order to get their Aadhaar linked, follow the below steps:

  • Enter a message following the format UID < space > < Aadhaar Number > < Account Number >.
  • Transmit the message to 567676.
  • Receive a confirmation message upon successful Aadhaar seeding.

If your Aadhaar is not linked, you will receive a notification instructing you to visit the bank for Aadhaar seeding. If your mobile number is not registered, a message will be sent to you.
