Documents Required for Aadhar Card

Are you planning to apply for a new aadhaar card? Then the list of documents which you should keep handy must be of great help!!

For applying Aadhaar you are either required to fill up an online enrolment form and submit it to authorized centers (enrolment centers) or can directly visit these centers the complete procedure.
Also, at the time of application for a new Aadhaar Card or for getting any details updated in the existing one, some basic documents are required to be submitted at the aadhaar enrollment centers. These self-attested documents, one from each category, are required for applying aadhaar.

The documents can be categorized into four basic heads like :

Proof of Identity
Address Proof
Date Of Birth Documents
Relationship Proofs

Documents for Proof of Identity

Documents as a proof of identity includes PAN card, Voter ID, Driving license. But, in addition to these commonly known proofs of identity, find below the list of many other documents. These documents can also be presented as valid proof of your identity for getting a new aadhaar or getting your details updated.

Documents for Address Proof

Address proof is amongst one of the most basic documents taken for verification for any registrations or services. And, one should be very careful at the time of submitting the proof of address for aadhaar application. The address details furnished at the time of enrollment will only be used for future communications. The delivery of a hard copy of your aadhaar card is also done at the same postal address only. Documents for Proof of Date Of Birth (DOB)

The proof of a relationship document is required to be submitted to prove the relationship with the Head of the family. The UIDAI accepts any of the below-mentioned documents as POR.
