What are the Ways to Link Aadhaar to Voter ID?

You can link your Voter ID to your Aadhaar Card using the following methods -

• Through National Voter Service Portal (NVSP)
• Through SMS
• Through Phone
• Via Voter helpline app
• Offline

Aadhaar Voter ID Linking through the National Voter Service Portal (NVSP)

This is an online method that can be used for linking an Aadhaar Card to a Voter ID. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to link Aadhaar with Voter ID through NVSP -

• Step 1. Search for NVSP and visit the official website of NVSP.
• Step 2. Search the term ‘Select Electoral Roll’ and click on it.
• Step 3. After this, you will be redirected to the electoral search form. There are 2 options ‘search by EPIC no.’ and ‘search by details.’ You can choose any one of these options and find the electoral search form.
• Upon choosing the first option, you have to enter your name, gender, age, DOB, assembly constituency, and other details. Otherwise, you can go for the second option and search by EPIC no. and the state.
• Step 4. Enter the captcha code and click on ‘search.’
• Step 5. If the details entered by you match the government database, you can view your voter ID details on the next page.
• Step 6. In the next step, click on ‘Feed Aadhaar Number.’
• Step 7. In the next pop-up window, you will have to enter the name, EPIC number, UID number, registered email address, and mobile number. Finally, click on ‘submit.’

After the completion of the process, you will receive a notification about successfully linking your voter ID with your Aadhaar card.

Voter ID Aadhaar Linking through SMS

Below are the steps that you need to follow to Aadhaar to Voter ID in detail -

• Step 1. Open the SMS application and type a message in the format given below.
  ECILINK
• Step 2. In the next step, send it to 166 or 51969 from your registered mobile number.

Aadhaar Voter ID Linking through Phone

Aadhaar card and Voter ID can be linked by giving a call on 1950 from your registered mobile number between 10 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Friday. Remember to avoid calling on weekends or after working hours.

After this, a customer care executive will pick up your call. You need to provide your Aadhaar number and EPIC number to this person.

The executive will verify your details. After successful verification, the linking will be completed. You will be intimated about the successful linking of Aadhaar Card and Voter ID.

Voter ID Aadhaar Linking through Voter Helpline App

The Election Commission of India introduced the voter helpline app with the objective of providing or offering a single platform for the delivery of service and information.

You can follow the below-mentioned steps to link your Aadhaar Card to Voter ID -

• Step 1. Open the Google Play Store or the App Store on your smartphone and download the voter helpline app.
• Step 2. After setting this up, click on ‘voter registration.’
• Step 3. In the next step, click on the Electoral Authentication Form (Form 6B). After that, select the ‘let’ start’ option.
• Step 4. Next, enter your official mobile number, which is linked to the Aadhaar card.
• Step 5. Enter the OTP received and click on ‘verify.’
• Step 6. On the next screen, click on ‘Yes I have voter ID’ and click ‘Next.’ Also enter your voter ID number (EPIC number) and further details required.
• Step 7. Click on ‘proceed’. Enter your Aadhaar card number, registered mobile number, and place of authentication. Now, click on ‘Done’.
• Step 8. Now go through all the details entered, verify them and click on ‘confirm’ to submit Form 6B.

Aadhaar Voter ID Linking Offline

Given below is the offline process of linking Aadhaar card with Voter ID -

• Step 1. Find and locate a booth level officer who is near your residence address. You can easily find one on ECIs official website.
• Step 2. Fill the application to link the Aadhaar card and Voter ID card. Also, submit the application. Note that the booth level officer (BLO) will thoroughly verify your details before linking your voter ID and Aadhaar card.
