What is the FSSAI Renewal Process?

Whether a small, medium, or large-sized business, all the food business operators have to mandatorily obtain an FSSAI license. This FSSAI license has to be renewed every time before its expiry. An FSSAI license is generally valid for a period of 1 to 5 years from the date of its issue. However, obtaining this license involves some fees. This fee might vary depending on the type of license being registered.

According to FSSAI regulations, each food business operator is required to initiate the process for FSSAI renewal 30 days prior to the expiration of the current food license. Failure to submit the renewal application for both state and central FSSAI licenses within the specified timeframe will result in a penalty of Rs. 100 per day.
