Step 1: Gather Required Documents
Before starting the application, ensure you have the following scanned and physical documents ready
- HUF Deed: A drafted, notarized deed on a ₹100 stamp paper.
- Karta's KYC: Self-attested copies of the Karta’s Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a recent passport-size photograph.
- HUF Affidavit: A mandatory affidavit signed by the Karta detailing the names, fathers' names, and addresses of all coparceners (family members).
Step 2: Fill the Online Application Form
- Visit the Portal: Go to the Protean eGov Technologies Portal and navigate to the online PAN services.
- Select Category: Choose "New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A)". Select "Hindu Undivided Family (HUF)" from the applicant category drop-down and title the entity as "M/s".

- Upon successful payment, a 15-digit acknowledgement number will be generated and sent to your email.
- Complete the Aadhaar-based authentication for the Karta.
- A PDF of your application form will be generated. Print this PDF and place the Karta's signature in the designated space.
